Yoga with Sandhya
According to Patanjali's millennia-old teachings, the Yogasutras, a concept of the human mind emerged. In different states of mind we can attain different depths of inner insight. Therein lies hidden the experience of true bliss.
Yoga Sutra I-2: Yoga is the bringing to rest of the movements in the mind.
In my yoga classes you learn to perceive your body in detail and to train the awareness of your breath. Movement and breathing are allowed to find a harmonious and healthy interplay again. Through this process, calmness returns to the mind.
Pausing and finding peace in the postures leads to a conscious awareness of feelings, self and being.
Pranayama (breathing exercises) and meditations deepen your personal experience in class.
The yoga practice I offer is based on the fundamentals of Hatha Yoga according to the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar. The focus is on precise alignment of the asanas (yoga postures).
Playful and flowing elements are also part of the practice, bringing our masculine and feminine parts into balance.
Classes are designed to build muscles for a healthy upright posture. Our flexibility is promoted on a physical and mental level.
The classes are suitable for beginners and already practitioners and are adapted to the respective level.
My courses are recognized by the Zentrale Prüfstelle für Prävention for participants from Germany. Most public health insurances cover a large part of the course fees.
